A unique Lange Zeitwerk was auctioned in Singapore on 27 August. The proceeds from the sale, €80,000, will go to The Kidz Horizon Appeal Charity, set up in 2004 by Duncan Wang, a watch enthusiast and collector, as well as a great admirer of the A brand. Lange & Söhne, who died two years ago: the association cares for children suffering from chronic illnesses, such as cancer or AIDS, whose parents are unable to support the medical treatment they need. The watch is the first Lange watch produced for an Asian charity: it is a special version with a white gold case, grey dial and black crocodile leather strap, closed by a folding clasp, also in white gold. At its heart is the Lange L043.1 manual calibre, decorated and assembled by hand.
