A. Lange & Söhne opens to the Romanian market with the sale of its watches at "Galt Orologerie", in the Calea Victoriei area in Bucharest. Daniel Rogger, the company's International Sales Director, said: "We had planned the brand's entry into the Romanian market for some time because A. Lange & Söhne has several fans in this market. It was only our small production capacity that had postponed the opening until now'. The launch of the brand in Romania was accompanied by two important events an exclusive "Pour le Mérite" dinner at the Radisson Blue Hotel, attended by one hundred guests including show business personalities and local collectors who were able to admire the rare "Richard Lange Tourbillon Pour le Mérite", which together with its three celebrated predecessors attracted the attention of all those present; the presentation of a tribute to the re-founder of the German manufacture Walter Lange, the 'Caesar Best Honoris' award, which Lange himself accepted at an exclusive dinner for members of the 'Caesar Vip Club', in the presence of the famous ex-tennis player Illie Nastase and the highest echelons of the Romanian banking and political world. The motivation for the lifetime achievement award was as follows: 'For his great achievement in the world of the watchmaking industry, for his strategic vision as an entrepreneur and for his incredible talent in repositioning Manifattura Sassone in the elite of haute horlogerie'.
