Since its launch in 2014, theOcto Finissimo covered for Bulgari a great strategic importance, as well as being highly appreciated by the enthusiast public. Ten years ago, the company presented a version with a tourbillon device, and it was the tourbillon watch thinnest in the world. Over the years, Octo Finissimo has been awarded no fewer than nine thinness records.

An unprecedented dial

The special feature of the new Octo Finissimo Sketch is the illustrations on the dial side.

The Word 'esquisse' in French (or 'sketch' in English) drift from the Italian 'schizzo'and signifies a type of drawing found throughout the history of art, in particular starting with the Italian Renaissance. Since its foundation in 1884, Bulgari has made its own contribution to this cultural tradition, perpetuating its spirit both through the craftsmanship of hand drawing and in the development (assisted by technology) of its new calibres.

On the dial of the new Octo Finissimo Automatic Sketch, therefore, appears a sketch of the movement usedhighlighting the micro-rotor, escapement, bridges, rubies, as well as all the finishing details. The author of these sketches is Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Product Creation Executive Director at Bulgari, whose design, with lively, natural and spontaneous strokes, emphasises the main characteristics of the Octo Finissimo.
