F.P. Journe - Tourbillon Anniversaire des 10 Ans

F.P. Journe is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its first boutique in Tokyo and the inauguration of its tenth point of sale in Beyrouth with a limited series model, obviously of 10 pieces: the Tourbillon Anniversaire des 10 Ans. The Japanese boutique opened in 2003, in Omotesando, le St. Germain-des-Prés de Tokyo. An atypical solution was devised by François-Paul Journe to choose to whom to deliver the watches: the brand's ten boutiques nominated candidates from among their most loyal collectors, whose names were then drawn during the annual F.P. Journe exhibition in Geneva in January. The Tourbillon Anniversaire adopts a movement identical to that of the 1983 Tourbillon, but made of 18-carat pink gold and visible through the sapphire back. The silver grené dial has a blackened hour zone framed by a polished steel ring with Breguet-style hands.
