Skagen presents the new Falster 3, a new edition and evolution of its award-winning smartwatch model. In addition to this new launch, Skagen is also happy to announce its collaboration with X by KYGO, the headphone and speaker brand developed by Norwegian DJ, songwriter and record producer Kygo. Building on the same modern design approach as its predecessor (Falster 2, which debuted in September 2018 at IFA), Falster 3 offers users the Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 3100 platform along with the latest version of Wear OS by Google™ software. Four versions of the Falster 3 will be available, including a limited edition version designed in collaboration with brand X by KYGO. With a new speaker feature, smart battery modes, a doubled storage capacity and 1 GB RAM, the Falster 3 is perfect for technology experts and design enthusiasts alike. Thanks to the speaker, the Skagen Falster 3 offers users the ability to accept incoming calls directly on the smartwatch. Using the company's patented app, Android and iPhone users will be able to make and receive calls directly from their watch thanks to Bluetooth technology. They will also be able to talk to Google Assistant, receive audio alerts from notifications and play music from compatible apps. With its sleek styling and upgraded hardware, the next-generation Skagen smartwatch offers the best available technology without sacrificing the understated and practical approach of the original. Falster's design has been slightly reworked to include new minimalist design dials with low battery consumption. The case and speaker are swimproof (30 metres), allowing users to monitor swim workouts, stay poolside or shower without running the risk of damaging the smartwatch. In addition, the Falster 3 is the only smartwatch on the market to feature a silicone mesh strap, the latest evolution of the brand's iconic material. Skagen's Falster 3 will also offer users an exclusive digital dial X by KYGO. The brand is the result of Kygo's desire to improve the way fans experience music, without sacrificing quality, regardless of the musical genre. Drawing inspiration from the Danish tradition of promoting minimalist design features, all X by KYGO products are developed to offer excellent audio quality. However, the most obvious evolution of Falster 3 lies in its technological features. The list of new features includes:
New loudspeaker
Thanks to the speaker, the user can accept incoming calls directly on the smartwatch. Until now, only users of Android phones could take advantage of this function. Fossil Group has developed a patented app with which it will offer the same opportunity to iPhone phone users: it will be one of the first Wear OS by Google devices with this functionality. Thanks to the integration of a swimproof speaker, in addition to the existing microphone, it is possible to take advantage of the voice functionality and hear answers from Google Assistant. When you ask a question or ask to perform an action, Google Assistant will respond.

Extended battery mode
Fossil Group has developed and patented a smartwatch experience that features four battery usage modes, giving users full control of their smartwatch and enabling extended battery life. This new experience offers an 'Extended Battery Mode', which extends battery life by several days on a single charge while continuing to enjoy essential functions such as notifications and heart rate. Day Mode' allows you to use almost all enabled functions, such as the always-on screen. Custom Mode' allows you to easily manage your battery optimisation settings in one section, while 'Time Only Mode' allows you to continue using the watch for a few more hours when the battery is low or use the smartwatch exclusively to read the time. From the watch's main screen, simply scroll down from the top and tap the battery icon to choose the mode you prefer.
Tiles
Tiles allows you to display information and perform actions quickly. As you scroll to the left, Tiles offers easy access to quick actions and information that was previously hidden in the app's menu. It will then be possible to check progress towards fitness goals, start a workout, find out what's next, make plans based on the latest weather forecast, check your heart rate, follow the latest headline news and even quickly set a timer. In addition, the 8 GB storage space with 1 GB RAM, double that of the previous version, offers more space to download apps and multimedia content, as well as better overall performance. The upgrade of the built-in sensors also contributes to greater accuracy and more efficient power saving. In the new model, we have retained features such as heart rate monitoring, integrated GPS, NFC technology for Google Pay™ and fast charging. Like all our current models, the Falster 3 will come with a number of self-installed apps: Spotify, the most popular on-demand music streaming service, and Noonlight, an app for emergency calls. Other new features include Cardiogram, the digital companion for heart health. The heart beats over 102,000 times a day and Cardiogram lets you know what that data means. Cardiogram synthesises heart rate information into graphs into which the day's activities can be integrated, giving the user the opportunity to identify which events contribute to changes in the heart rate.
