Latest from H. Moser & Cie.

Just released by H. Moser & Cie. is the new Endeavour Minute Repeater Tourbillon, a follow-up to the 2019 debut piece that is "lighter" in a couple of ways. This high complication piece now comes in a titanium case with a brand new 'electric blue' dial that convincingly demonstrates another side to Moser's minimalist aesthetic than the original white gold case with a black lacquered dial pattern. Limited to 20 pieces, this Tourbillon with minute repeater not only showcases the brand's watchmaking prowess, but also serves as an excellent case study for Moser's very special design ethos. For this creation, powered by the hand-wound HMC 903 calibre, the company called upon the expertise of Timeless SA, a specialist in minute repeaters: their collaboration resulted in a new design that places the gongs and hammers on either side of the dial. In particular, the gongs, arranged on one level to preserve the fineness of the model, have been curved so that they do not interfere with the one-minute flying tourbillon visible behind the skeleton bridge at 6 o'clock and to maintain the essential design desired by H. Moser & Cie. The sliding catch, placed on a Teflon ring to ensure smooth gliding, is built into the plate to save space, while the case middle has been enlarged as much as possible to accommodate the movement while providing sufficient space to create a large resonance chamber. The latter amplifies the sound of the hours, quarters and minutes emitted by the two hammers, which are raised on the basis of the information provided by different feelers. The choice of titanium for the case is not accidental: this material in fact retains the vibratory energy of the sound well rather than favouring its dissipation. On the aesthetic side, the look of the watch is completed by a black alligator strap.
