Bulgari - Octo Roma Worldtimer

In 2017, Bulgari launched Octo Roma: the case, compared to the slim Octo Finissimo, has a simpler structure, featuring 'only' 58 facets as opposed to 110, for a softer interpretation of Octo's geometric shapes. Born in a three-sphere version and later joined by decidedly complicated variants (such as the Grande Sonnerie with Perpetual Calendar or the Tourbillon), in 2021 Octo Roma made its debut in a world time display.

The Octo Roma Worldtimer, which provides a simultaneous display of the 24 world time zones, is available in two versions: "all black", with a steel case with black DLC treatment, black dial and textured rubber strap, or with a polished and satin-finished steel case with a sun-blue dial, combined with a metal bracelet. The time setting of the 24 world time zones is done via the crown, which is used to rotate both peripheral discs: the one with the 24 hours and the one with the city names. The GMT+1 time zone is represented by Rome (Bulgari's birthplace), while St. Barts was chosen to indicate the Caribbean time zone, a destination that is certainly more fashionable than Bermuda, usually used for the corresponding time zone. The movement is the BVL257 automatic calibre (267 components, 26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42-hour power reserve), developed on the basis of the BVL 191.

An excellent alternative for lovers of watches with a world function: the Octo Roma Worldtimer is in fact offered at a very competitive price (9,000 euros) when compared to the quality of the movements, materials used and finishing. The information-rich dial blends well with the Octo case.
